GMR Okta Password Reset
Okta is an on-demand service that allows you to easily sign in to all your organization’s applications through a single login.
Once you sign in, your GMR Okta home page displays all your applications in one location. Simply, click the application’s corresponding icon and each application opens in a new browser window or tab and you are automatically logged in.
GMR Okta Password Reset If You are Connected to the network AND know your current password
If you are working from a home office (not on the GMR office network) connect to VPN Global Protect. In the bottom right of your tray click the up arrow, ensure Global Protect is connected, if not click it and sign in.
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete on your keyboard
- Click Change Password
- Enter the current password, and the new password, confirm the password, and click the right arrow to submit
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete (all three keys pressed at the same time) on your keyboard, click Lock,
- Enter your new password
- You may be prompted by applications to enter your new password
- Make sure to update all mobile devices’ passwords, may also need to forget Wi-Fi networks on mobile devices and reconnect

GMR Okta Password Reset If You are NOT connected to a network or do NOT know my current password
Open an Internet browser and navigate to https://gmr.okta.com
- Under Username and Password, click Need help signing in?
- Click Forgot password?
- Select to reset via email, SMS, or Voice Call
- Answer the Forgotten Password Challenge question
- Type a new password in the New password and Repeat password field
- Click Reset Password
- Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete (all three keys pressed at the same time) on your keyboard, click Lock, type your new password
- You may be prompted by applications to enter your new password
- Make sure to update all mobile devices’ passwords, may also need to forget Wi-Fi networks on mobile devices and reconnect.

It may take up to 2 hours before your mobile apps prompt you to enter your new password.
How do I reset my security password questions?
- Log into Okta
- In the top right corner click your Name and click Settings
- Click Edit Profile
- Next to Forgotten Password Question, click Edit
- Update your Question and Answer and click Save
Why am I getting prompted to fill out information when logging into
Okta?
If you have not already configured everything in Okta, you will be prompted to fill out items to complete setting up your account so you can use Okta to reset your password or unlock your account (you may get some or all of the below depending on what you have already set up)
- Secondary Email
- Choose a forgot password question
- Add a phone number for resetting your password or unlocking your account using SMS
- Add a phone number for resetting your password or unlocking your account using Voice Call
- Once everything is set up, click Create My Account.
What are the password guidelines?
- Passwords must be at least eight characters in length.
- You cannot reuse your last 12 passwords.
- Passwords must contain characters from at least three of the following four classes:
- English uppercase letters (A, B, C)
- English lowercase letters (a, b, c)
- Westernized Arabic numerals (0, 1, 2)
- Non-alphanumeric (special characters #, &, !, %, @, ?, -, *)
- Passwords should NOT contain:
- Your username
- Your first and/or last name
- A single word from the dictionary with a number or special character at the beginning or end.
GMR Okta Login
- Go to the GMR Okta Login page
- Enter your username and password, and then select Sign-in.
- Enter your alias in the username field. For example, if your username is jsmith@mycompany.com, just enter jsmith.
- After you enter your username, your security image is displayed automatically if you have previously completed a successful login in the browser you are using. This feature requires browser cookies.
However, if you have forgotten your GMR Okta Username/Password or your account is locked, you can reset your password or retrieve your Username through the portal. If you feel that someone else is using your account, you need to reset your password immediately. Here’s how;
- Go to the GMR Okta portal
- Under Username and Password, click Need help to sign in?
- Click on “Forgot password? or Unlock account?
- Select to reset via email, SMS, or Voice Call
- Click on continue and follow the onscreen instructions to retrieve your account password.
