About GMR - Global Medical Response

GMR Overview and Mission

GMR was established in 2018 through the merger of two leading EMS companies, Air Medical Group Holdings (AMGH) and American Medical Response (AMR). Since then, it has grown into a leading provider of medical transport and emergency response services.

GMR’s mission is to provide patients with compassionate and quality care during the most critical moments, ensuring that healthcare is accessible in emergencies, regardless of location.

GMR Services

GMR offers an extensive range of services through its network of subsidiaries and specialized divisions:

Emergency Medical Services (EMS): GMR provides ground ambulance services to communities across the U.S. through American Medical Response (AMR), one of its major subsidiaries. AMR is responsible for responding to 911 emergency calls, offering critical care transport, and providing support during large-scale emergencies and natural disasters.

Air Ambulance Services: Through companies like Air Evac Lifeteam, REACH Air Medical Services, Med-Trans Corporation, and AirMed International, GMR provides emergency and non-emergency air medical transport. These services are critical for patients in remote areas who need rapid transportation to advanced medical facilities.

Critical Care Transport: GMR offers specialized transport for patients requiring advanced medical attention, including neonatal and pediatric care, cardiac care, and trauma care. These transports are provided by ground or air depending on the patient’s condition and needs.

Fire Services: In some communities, GMR also operates fire departments, offering firefighting services, rescue operations, and fire prevention programs.

Disaster Response: GMR plays a key role in responding to natural disasters and large-scale emergencies. They provide ambulance strike teams, mobile medical units, and other emergency services to affected areas during hurricanes, wildfires, floods, and other crises.

Event Medical Services: GMR offers medical support for large-scale public events like concerts, sports games, and festivals. Their EMS teams are equipped to handle emergencies that may occur in crowded settings.

Community Health Programs: Through initiatives like Mobile Integrated Healthcare (MIH) and Community Paramedicine, GMR aims to improve patient outcomes and reduce hospital readmissions by providing preventive and follow-up care in the home or community setting.
